Commencement 2005 Photo Album

"Newer Every Day"

The Sesquicentennial Commencement on May 13, 2005 marked a significant day in the history of the The College of New Jersey. In recognition of the yearlong Sesuicentennial celebration, all graduates received commemorative medallions and the Sesquicentennial Distinguished Service Award was presented to Edith Hahn. Troy Vincent and Senator Jon Corzine were on hand to receive Honorary Degrees and the Sesquicentennial Grand Marshal (our mascot, Roscoe) made an entrance no one will ever forget! It was more than just a typical Commencement, as the stands filled with families and friends gathered to cheer, hug, wave, weep, and listen as the College closed another chapter in its long-running history of preparing young men and women for lives of learning and service.
